PD‐1 Inhibits CD4+ TRM‐Mediated cDC1 Mobilization via Suppressing JAML in Human NSCLC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CD4+ tissue‐resident memory T cells (TRMs) in non‐small cell lung cancer recruit conventional type 1 dendritic cells via XCL1‐XCR1 signaling, orchestrating antitumor immunity. The costimulatory molecule JAML is essential for this process. PD‐1 blockade restores JAML expression and cDC1 mobilization, while JAML agonists synergize with anti‐PD‐1 therapy,

Public consultation report, white-tailed eagle project [PDF]

open access: yes
The aim of this study was to conduct a public consultation to evaluate public opinion regarding the ecological, economic and social impacts of a proposed white-tailed eagle (WTE) (Haliaeetus albicilla) re-introduction in Cumbria. The consultation was designed to support a licence application from Natural England for a Schedule 9 species by complying ...

Molecular approaches used to infer evolutionary history, taxonomy, population structure, and illegal trade of White-tailed Black-cockatoos (Calyptorhynchus spp.) in Australia

open access: yes, 2011
Cockatoos are charismatic, iconic Australasian birds, yet this family (Cacatuidae) is inadequately understood from a genetic perspective. Herein, this thesis describes a detailed genetic study of endangered white-tailed black-cockatoos (WTBCs ...

Food of the white‐tailed eagle Haliaeetus albicilla in Greenland

open access: yesEcography, 1983
Six nests of white‐tailed eagles in the southernmost Greenland were watched during the nestling period and food items recorded photographically by remote controlled cameras. The species composition of the food was representative even for the adult eagles' diet. Fish made up a major part of 90%, various bird species and arctic fox pups the remaining 10%.

CDK4/6 Inhibition Induces CD8+ T Cell Antitumor Immunity via MIF‐Induced Functional Orchestration of Tumor‐Associated Macrophages

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CDK4/6 inhibition promotes CD8+ T cell expansion through tumor‐macrophage crosstalk by activating HIF‐1α and enhancing MIF‐CD44/CD74 signaling. This reprograms TAMs to boost MHC‐I antigen presentation, and CDK4/6 inhibitor‐trained M1 TAM supernatant therapy synergizes with low‐dose PD‐1 blockade to restore antitumor immunity.

White-tailed eagles in time and space

open access: yes, 2021
Áhrif stofnstærðarsveiflna á erfðabreytileika og hegðun breytileika í litlum stofnum hefur verið vel lýst. Fjölmargar rannsóknir í líffræði hafa verið gerðar á erfðabreytileika stofna en sjaldan hafa sýni verið greind fyrir og eftir slíkar niðursveiflur, sem kallaðar hafa verið erfðafræðilegur flöskuháls, og því eru áhrifin oft greind eftir ...

Seasonality of the White-Tailed Eagle in the Omsk Region, Russia

open access: yesRaptors Conservation, 2014
Spring migration of the White-Tailed Eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) within the Omsk region proceeds in a wide zone along the Irtysh river, in a North-North-Westerly direction.  In spring and early summer, established breeding pairs are distributed across the nesting sites in all climatic zones of the region from the steppes to the taiga; immature and ...

GATA4‐Driven Transcription of HtrA1 Promotes Cellular Senescence in Ménière's Disease and Age‐Related Audio‐Vestibular Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies the HDAC6/GATA4/HtrA1 axis as a critical driver of cellular senescence in the inner ear. GATA4 nuclear translocation, facilitated by HDAC6 downregulation, transcriptionally activates HtrA1, promoting hair cell senescence, SASP, and audio‐vestibular dysfunction in models of Ménière's disease and age‐related audio‐vestibular ...

Conservation Genetics of the White-Tailed Eagle [Elektronisk resurs]

open access: yes, 2006
The white-tailed eagle is a formerly threatened raptor that is commonly used as a flagship and indicator species in conservation work. This thesis uses molecular genetic methods to study sex determination of nestlings, genetic variability, population ...

Natural Products Inspired Scaffold Diversification Leads to Unnatural Molecular Warhead and Covalent Strategy to Modulating Protein Function through Electrophilic Bromine Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report a new thiolate‐reactive α,α‐gem‐dibromo lactam warhead that activates transcription factor Nrf2 and demonstrates anti‐inflammatory activities, which have implications in cancer, neurodegeneration, and cardiovascular diseases. RNA‐seq illuminated detailed transcriptional profiles, and chemical reactions with cysteine‐containing compounds ...
