White light emitting diodes

1998
Using blue-emitting GaN LEDs on SiC substrate chips as primary light sources, we have fabricated green, yellow, red and white light emitting diodes (LUCOLEDs). The generation of mixed colors, as turquoise and magenta, is also demonstrated. The underlying physical principle is that of luminescence downconversion (Stokes shift), as typical for organic ...

White-light Fizeau interferometer

Applied Optics, 1997
A white-light Fizeau interferometer is described. Commonly, white-light fringes can be produced only by using a virtual wedge instrument such as a Michelson interferometer. By use of a series arrangement of a Fabry-Perot interferometer in front of a two-beam Fizeau interferometer, white-light fringes can be produced.

'White' light laser

Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1983
A He-Cd+ laser system is described which provides simultaneous laser oscillations in the three primary colours, blue, green and red. Conditions which produce the optimum 'white' light light output are specified.

White Light Filters

2015
The white light Sun is actually a view of the visible spectrum emitted from the photosphere. The solar interior is opaque to light beyond this visible surface, which is not really a surface at all because it is composed of hot gas 4500–6000 degrees Kelvin.

Conclusion: White Light, White Life

2020
Shortly before his suicide, Deleuze writes “Immanence: A Life”; a short text that, like “The Actual and the Virtual,” has the feel of both testament and legacy. Unlike the former, however, it stresses the decomposition rather than the composition of crystals, and it proposes a purely transcendental plane of anonymous life; a purely

White-light flares

1992
The observed good temporal correlation between white-light flares and hard X-ray bursts suggests that energetic electrons could be the cause of white-light flare emission. However, even if sufficient energy can be deposited in the chromosphere by electron bombardment, direct collisional heating of the photosphere requires too high a flux of electrons ...

WHITE LIGHT-MF

Alloy Digest, 1957
Abstract WHITE LIGHT-MF is a wrought magnesium-base alloy that does not respond to age-hardening heat treatment for increased hardness and strength. It is a general purpose extrusion alloy for applications where medium strength and economy are prime factors.
