White-light solitons

Optics Letters, 2003
Optical spatial solitons made from incoherent white light were experimentally observed in 1997 by Mitchell and Segev [Nature (London) 387, 880 (1997)]. We present what is believed to be the first theory describing these solitons and find the characteristic features of their spatiotemporal coherence properties and their temporal power spectrum.

White Light/White Heat

Traffic Technology International, 2023
A fourth, white traffic light could be the hottest new concept in traffic management right now. Even if the idea never reaches full adoption, it nevertheless brings new focus to the challenge of integrating the flow of CAVs with manually driven vehicles on our roads

White lighting

Color Research & Application, 2011
AbstractWhite is a color sensation absent hue. Manufacturers describe practical light sources used for illumination as tinted warm‐white or cool‐white, but these informal designations do not seem to be based upon measured human color perceptions of white illumination.

White-Light Fourier Holography

SPIE Proceedings, 1985
Abstract This paper describes a technique for generating broad spectral band Fourier holograms with an encoded white light source. Since this technique utilizes primary white-light construction and reconstruction process, it is quite suitable for color Fourier hologram image reconstruction. Experimental results are also given.

White‐Light‐Emitting Supramolecular Gels

Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2013
Let there be light, let it be white: Recent developments in the use of chromophore-based gels as scaffolds for the assembly of white-light-emitting soft materials have been significant. The main advantage of this approach lies in the facile accommodation of selected luminescent components within the gel.

White-light joint-transform correlator

Optics Letters, 1989
A joint transform correlator (JTC) was proposed to avoid the alignment problem of the spatial filter in the traditional VanderLugt system. By incorporating some spatial light modulators in the optical systems, the JTC was applied to real time pattern recognition.
