Emission characteristics of white light phosphor

CLEO/Pacific Rim 2003. The 5th Pacific Rim Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (IEEE Cat. No.03TH8671), 2004
White light LED was successfully fabricated by converting near-UV LED emission (390-420 nm) with a new white light phosphor. This new white phosphor was consisted of three fluorescence materials; two strontium aluminates based with lanthanide oxides, SrAl/sub 2/O/sub 4/:Eu/sup 2+/ (for green (520 nm) emission) and Sr/sub 4/Al/sub 14/O/sub 25/:Eu/sup 2+/

White Light Emission from Black Germanium

ACS Photonics, 2017
We demonstrate the nearly perfect absorption and quantum dots-mediated enhanced visible light emissions from defect engineered Ge nanopyramids or black germanium. High-resolution 3D photoluminescence (PL) imaging of the pyramid structure elucidated the position dependency of defects and their emission: Stronger photoluminescence yield was observed at ...

White-light emission from AlN dendrites

Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics, 2016
The AlN dendrites were prepared by high temperature plasma nitridation method. The AlN dendrites are composed of hierarchical AlN polycrystal architectures with a wide size range. The photoluminescence spectra of the AlN dendrites exhibit white-light emission including three main bands located at red, green and blue-violet. The multi-colors emission is

Intrinsic White-Light Emission from Layered Hybrid Perovskites

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2014
We report on the second family of layered perovskite white-light emitters with improved photoluminescence quantum efficiencies (PLQEs). Upon near-ultraviolet excitation, two new Pb-Cl and Pb-Br perovskites emit broadband "cold" and "warm" white light, respectively, with high color rendition. Emission from large, single crystals indicates an origin from

Synthesis of multiple-color emissive carbon dots towards white-light emission

Nanotechnology, 2020
Multiple-color emissive carbon dots (C-dots) are gaining increasing attention in various fields. Herein, we report a facile solvothermal method for the synthesis of multiple-color emissive C-dots with the aim of white-light emission. Under single ultraviolet-light excitation, three C-dots emit a easily controlled fluorescent emission wavelength at 440 ...

Pure White‐Light Emission of Nanocrystal–Polymer Composites

ChemPhysChem, 2006
Incorporation of semiconductor nanocrystals (NCs) into functional polymers is a highly desirable approach to generate novel materials for use in optoelectronic devices, such as lightemitting diodes (LEDs) and photovoltaic cells. Basic requirement is a good miscibility of the NCs in such a polymer matrix.

Rationally Designed Carbon Nanodots towards Pure White‐Light Emission

Angewandte Chemie, 2017
AbstractWe report a rational synthesis of carbon nanodots (CNDs) aimed at tailoring their emission, starting from a reasoned choice of organic precursors. To showcase the potential of this approach in a field such as optoelectronics, we designed experiments aimed at preparing materials that emit across the entire visible spectrum.

Enhanced light extraction by heterostructure photonic crystals toward white-light-emission

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2016
In this work, we present a novel approach on the simultaneous enhancement of intensity of red, green, and blue (RGB) emission by heterostructure colloidal photonic crystals (PCs) with tri-stopbands. The intensity of RGB emission on heterostructure PCs with tri-stopbands overlapping emission wavelengths of RGB QDs can be up to about 8-fold enhancement ...
