Effect of Ammoniated and/or Basidiomycete White-Rot Fungi Treatment on Rice Straw Proximate Composition, Cell Wall Component, and In Vitro Rumen Fermentation Characteristics

open access: yesFermentation, 2022
Various pretreatments are employed to increase the utilization of rice straw as a ruminant feed ingredient to minimize its negative environmental impact. However, an efficient alternative is still needed.

The remediation of chlorpyrifos-contaminated soil by immobilized white-rot fungi [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2020
This research focused on the degradation of chlorpyrifos via immobilized white rot fungi in soil, with the aim to select excellent degrading strains and an optimal carrier of white rot fungi. Immobilization of white rot fungi was assessed on corn stover,

Essential lipid autacoids rewire mitochondrial energy efficiency in metabolic dysfunction‐associated fatty liver disease

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Increased liver content of DHA‐derived small lipid autacoids (i.e resolvin D1 and maresin 1) associates with enhanced mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, fatty acid β‐oxidation and bioenergetic metabolic flux. These features provide hepatic protection from steatotic, pro‐inflammatory and fibrogenic insults.

Biological Control of White Rot in Garlic Using Burkholderia pyrrocinia CAB08106-4

open access: yesResearch in Plant Disease, 2013
White rot caused by Sclerotium cepivorum was reported to be severe soil-born disease on garlic. Disease progress of white rot of garlic (Allium sativum L.) was investigated during the growing season of 2009 to 2011 at Taean and Seosan areas.

Syringic Acid Metabolism by Some White-rot, Soft-rot and Brown-rot Fungi [PDF]

open access: yesMicrobiology, 1984
Syringic acid metabolism by four white-rot, two soft-rot, and two brown-rot fungi has been studied. The pathways for syringic acid metabolism have been studied in detail for the white-rot fungus,Sporotrichum pulverulentum, and a reaction sequence proposed.

White Root Rot of Raspberries [PDF]

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Biological Sciences, 1951
The disease known as white root rot affects raspberries, and to a less extent loganberries, in Victoria. The causal organism is a white, sterile fungus that has not been identified. The disease is favoured by dry soil conditions and high soil temperatures.

Influence of fungal decay on durability and hardness strength characteristics of bagasse/PP composite [PDF]

open access: yesتحقیقات علوم چوب و کاغذ ایران, 2010
In this study the effect of white and brown-rot fungi on durability and hardness characteristics of Bagasse/Polypropylene composite was evaluated. The test specimens were prepared using Bagasse fibers (38%), Polypropylene (60%), and maleic anhydride (2%)

Using Wood Rot Phenotypes to Illuminate the “Gray” Among Decomposer Fungi

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2020
Wood-decomposing fungi use distinct strategies to deconstruct wood that can significantly vary carbon release rates and fates. White and brown rot-type fungi attack lignin as a prerequisite to access carbohydrates (white rot) or selectively remove ...

Enzyme degradation mechanism of white rot fungi and its research progress on Refractory Wastewater [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2021
The lignin-degrading enzyme system of white rot fungi is highly efficient and non-specific, and can degrade a variety of pollutants, including dyes, phenolic compounds and pesticides. The article presents an overview of the mechanism of enzymatic ...
