A longitudinal multilevel analysis of individual‐ and contextual‐level predictors of cross‐ethnic friendships in the UK

open access: yesBritish Journal of Social Psychology, Volume 65, Issue 2, April 2026.
Abstract Intergroup contact plays a central role in fostering positive intergroup attitudes; yet, factors promoting intergroup contact are less understood. Using three waves of data from a nationally representative UK household panel study (N = 18,807), we applied longitudinal multilevel models to examine how individual‐ and objective neighbourhood ...

Pro‐Market Economic Reforms and Resource Curse: Do Initial Conditions Matter?

open access: yesEconomics of Transition and Institutional Change, Volume 34, Issue 2, Page 219-242, April 2026.
ABSTRACT The quality of economic institutions plays a crucial role in enhancing a country's economic performance, leading international organisations to recommend pro‐market institutional reforms as a strategy to support economic development. This paper investigates how the natural resource curse affects pro‐market reforms, analysing a sample of 90 ...

Alumina–Zirconia Composite Filaments for 3D‐Printed Scaffolds With Bioglass Infiltration for Medical Applications

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Ceramic Technology, Volume 23, Issue 2, April 2026.
This study demonstrates the innovative development of alumina–zirconia composite scaffolds produced by fused filament fabrication (FFF) and infiltrated with bioglass via the sol–gel method. The combination yielded highly porous three‐dimensional architectures (500 µm–1 mm), suitable for nutrient diffusion, vascularization, and cell colonization.

Myasthenia gravis following the initiation of statin therapy: A multinational self‐controlled case series study

open access: yesJournal of Internal Medicine, Volume 299, Issue 4, Page 502-514, April 2026.
Abstract Background Evidence regarding the risk of new‐onset myasthenia gravis (MG) following statin therapy initiation is limited. Objectives To investigate this potential adverse effect using multinational real‐world population‐based data. Methods A self‐controlled case series (SCCS) study was conducted using electronic medical records and claims ...

Impact of Textile Architecture on the Electromechanical Behavior of Conductive Carbon: Silicone Composite Strain Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 6, 18 March 2026.
A stretchable carbon composite is integrated by stencil printing onto two different types of textile, with different yarn morphologies. The impact of the knit structure and coating direction on the performance of the sensor composite is evaluated and used to derive a model estimating nominal resistance at a given strain near the percolation threshold ...
