Towards Better Test Coverage: Merging Unit Tests for Autonomous Systems [PDF]

open access: yesNASA Formal Methods (2022), 2022
We present a framework for merging unit tests for autonomous systems. Typically, it is intractable to test an autonomous system for every scenario in its operating environment. The question of whether it is possible to design a single test for multiple requirements of the system motivates this work. First, we formally define three attributes of a test:

Unlocking the potential of tumor‐derived DNA in urine for cancer detection: methodological challenges and opportunities

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urine is a rich source of biomarkers for cancer detection. Tumor‐derived material is released into the bloodstream and transported to the urine. Urine can easily be collected from individuals, allowing non‐invasive cancer detection. This review discusses the rationale behind urine‐based cancer detection and its potential for cancer diagnostics ...

The Easy and Early Diagnosis of Typhoid Fever [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2012
Background and Objective: Typhoid fever is endemic in India. Its diagnosis is usually confirmed by blood culture, clot culture, stool culture and the Widal agglutination test. In the present study, we assessed the usefulness of the Enterocheck WB test

Fault Detection Effectiveness of Source Test Case Generation Strategies for Metamorphic Testing [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Metamorphic testing is a well known approach to tackle the oracle problem in software testing. This technique requires the use of source test cases that serve as seeds for the generation of follow-up test cases. Systematic design of test cases is crucial for the test quality. Thus, source test case generation strategy can make a big impact on the fault

Subpar reporting of pre‐analytical variables in RNA‐focused blood plasma studies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical variables strongly influence the analysis of extracellular RNA (cell‐free RNA; exRNA) derived from blood plasma. Their reporting is essential to allow interpretation and replication of results. By evaluating 200 exRNA studies, we pinpoint a lack of reporting pre‐analytical variables associated with blood collection, plasma preparation ...

Morphy: A Datamorphic Software Test Automation Tool [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
This paper presents an automated tool called Morphy for datamorphic testing. It classifies software test artefacts into test entities and test morphisms, which are mappings on testing entities. In addition to datamorphisms, metamorphisms and seed test case makers, Morphy also employs a set of other test morphisms including test case metrics and filters,

Surfaceome: a new era in the discovery of immune evasion mechanisms of circulating tumor cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the era of immunotherapies, many patients either do not respond or eventually develop resistance. We propose to pave the way for proteomic analysis of surface‐expressed proteins called surfaceome, of circulating tumor cells. This approach seeks to identify immune evasion mechanisms and discover potential therapeutic targets. Circulating tumor cells (

Comparative Evaluation of Various Tests for Diagnosis of Concurrent Malaria and Typhoid Fever in a Tertiary Care Hospital of Northern India [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2014
Background: Malaria and Typhoid are two major infectious diseases, still prevalent in most of the tropical countries including India. Millions of individuals residing in these endemic cases contact these diseases either concurrently or as acute ...
