Wideband and ultra wideband direct chaotic communications

ICCSC'02. 1st IEEE International Conference on Circuits and Systems for Communications. Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.02EX605), 2003
We introduce a high rate wireless communication scheme, based on wideband and ultra wideband chaotic carriers, generated directly in the microwave frequency band. The main features and performance of the proposed scheme are discussed. An experimental model of the system is designed and a series of experiments, demonstrating wireless transmission with ...

Reconfigurable Wideband VCOs

2005 IEEE 16th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2006
There are currently various mobile communication standards in use worldwide. Software-defined radio (SDR) enables the creation of multi-standard terminals, which can be flexibly used in various mobile communication systems by simply rewriting their software.

On Jamming in the Wideband Regime

2006 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2006
We consider the problem of jamming in non-coherent wideband fading channels. While the problem is well understood for coherent channels, the results for the coherent case do not generalize in the non-coherent regime. We show that energy-limited jammers do not affect capacity in the wideband regime.

Wideband cyclic MUSIC

IEEE International Conference on Acoustics Speech and Signal Processing, 1993
High-resolution direction of arrival (DOA) estimates of cyclostationary signals in an environment with many more interferers than sensors is made possible using techniques like cyclic multiple signal classification (MUSIC) and variants. However, these techniques are only valid for narrowband signals.

On wideband comb compensator

2013 International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics (ICACCI), 2013
This paper presents a simple method for the design of the multiplierless wideband comb compensator. The design of compensator depends only on the number of the cascaded comb filters. The proposed filter is a cascade of narrowband and wideband compensators, both working at low rate.

Wideband Envelope Modulator Design for Wideband Power Amplifiers

2008 38th European Microwave Conference, 2008
A wideband and high-efficiency envelope modulator is proposed for envelope tracking and envelope elimination and restoration transmitters. The modulator can achieve a power added efficiency of 80% for the envelope of WLAN 802.11a/g signal. The modulator is tested with a high efficiency power amplifier.

Satellites for wideband access

IEEE Communications Magazine, 1996
Communications satellites are used extensively in wideband communications systems today, due to their economic benefits and ability to meet requirements in unique ways. The satellite industry is satisfying the growing demand for wideband access by developing both new concepts that use existing systems and new satellite systems that are optimized for ...

Accessible approach to wideband matching

2012 19th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits, and Systems (ICECS 2012), 2012
Wideband matching is a prerequisite nowadays in almost all wireless communication devices. In circuit theory, the basis for matching is traditionally an optimal conjugate matching, but in practical wideband problems, the goal is a predetermined moderate level of mismatch over a maximum frequency band.
