Wideband columnar slot antenna

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2016
ABSTRACTA wideband columnar antenna featuring a radiating slot cut around the outside circumference of a rectangular waveguide is presented. The antenna operates effectively in the frequency band of 1.51–4.75 GHz. The antenna also exhibits a reasonably good omnidirectional pattern in the horizontal plane, with predominantly vertical polarization.

Wideband triangular patch antenna

IEE Proceedings - Microwaves, Antennas and Propagation, 1999
A wideband single layer triangular patch antenna fed by an L-shaped probe is proposed. It achieves 42% impedance bandwidth (SWR/spl les/2) and a maximum gain of 6 dBi. A foam layer of thickness /spl sim/10% of the operating wavelength is used as the supporting substrate. The radiation pattern is stable across the passband.

Wideband antenna array

IEE National Conference on Antennas and Propagation, 1999
This paper describes the development of a wideband radiating element suitable for use in a planar array. The design is a more compact form of the fan dipole reported by Bailey (1984). An experimental array of such dipoles was constructed in order to evaluate the mutual coupling between the elements and the embedded radiation patterns.

Ultra Wideband Antennas

2012
Chipless RFID tags require a significant amount of spectrum in order to encode their data. Hence, ultra wideband antennas seem like the obvious solution as the antenna of choice for the chipless RFID tag. The theory of operation and parametric study of circular disc monopole antennas printed on dielectric laminates is presented.

Ultra Wideband Wearable Antenna

2019 8th Asia-Pacific Conference on Antennas and Propagation (APCAP), 2019
In this paper, a design approach of an Ultra-Wide Band microstrip patch antenna with decent performance and low SAR results is presented. The proposed antenna consists of conducting circular patch element etched on a dielectric printed circuit board with compact size 40×40×1.4 mm3. The design is wearable for on-body applications, flexible, light weight

New wideband monopole antennas

IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium 1997. Digest, 2002
Several new wideband configurations, such as, elliptical, square, rectangular, and hexagonal disc monopole antennas have been fabricated and results have been compared with the reported circular disc monopole antenna. The elliptical disc with ellipticity ratio of 1.1 yields the largest bandwidth from 1.21 GHz to more than 13 GHz for ...

Wideband antenna efficiency measurements

2010 International Workshop on Antenna Technology (iWAT), 2010
Over the past 10 years or so, many broadband and ultra-wideband antennas have been developed for broadband high data rate mobile communications. It is realized how to make efficient and accurate measurements for such antennas could be a challenging issue. In this paper, we examine the antenna efficiency measurement techniques which have been used up to

Wideband Phased Array Antennas

2008 IEEE National Aerospace and Electronics Conference, 2008
Slotted spiral antennas with a ground plane are designed to cover the frequency range 0.5-18 GHz. Various antennas incorporating Archemidan slotted spirals with a ground plane and dielectric thickness less than 100 um were designed, processed and tested at different frequency ranges using conventional PCBs as well as vertically interconnected and ...

Wideband planar array antenna

Proceedings of MILCOM '95, 2002
Multiband operation of planar and phased array antennas is becoming increasingly important in both military and commercial communications due to the need for flexibility in meeting a number of operational SATCOM requirements. With today's technology, multiband operation requires changing antenna feed components and so hinders rapid changeover to ...

Compact size wideband antenna

2009 Asia Pacific Microwave Conference, 2009
A novel planar antenna is proposed. This antenna has simple structure, compact size and wideband impedance matching performance. This newly proposed structure is fabricated and measured. It is shown that return loss of the antenna is better than −10 dB over 3.0 GHz to 9.0 GHz. The radiation pattern is good at the frequency band.
