This chapter reviewed the various designs of the UWB antennas as well as the conventional frequency independent antennas and the methods to notch some frequency bands for avoiding interfering with other existing wireless communication systems after introducing the history, advantages, disadvantages and applications of the UWB. The introduced structures

This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Wideband P-Shaped Dielectric Resonator Antenna [PDF]
A novel P-shaped dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is presented and investigated for wideband wireless application. By using P-shaped resonator, a wideband impedance bandwidth of 80% from 3.5 to 8.2 GHz is achieved.

Wi-PoS : a low-cost, open source ultra-wideband (UWB) hardware platform with long range sub-GHz backbone [PDF]
Ultra-wideband (UWB) localization is one of the most promising approaches for indoor localization due to its accurate positioning capabilities, immunity against multipath fading, and excellent resilience against narrowband interference.

An ultra-wideband loop antenna is proposed that is based on a wavelength loop antenna and a slot antenna. The self-complementary principle is applied to the designed ultra-wideband antenna. The antenna operates as a loop antenna in the low frequency band (0.3-1-GHz) and as a slot antenna in the high frequency band (1-14.2-GHz).
