Asymptotics of block Toeplitz determinants with piecewise continuous symbols
Abstract We determine the asymptotics of the block Toeplitz determinants detTn(ϕ)$\det T_n(\phi)$ as n→∞$n\rightarrow \infty$ for N×N$N\times N$ matrix‐valued piecewise continuous functions ϕ$\phi$ with a finitely many jumps under mild additional conditions.

Wiener Filter Using the Conjugate Gradient Method and a Third-Order Tensor Decomposition
In linear system identification problems, the Wiener filter represents a popular tool and stands as an important benchmark. Nevertheless, it faces significant challenges when identifying long-length impulse responses.

Wiener-Hopf factorization and distribution of extrema for a family of L\'{e}vy processes [PDF]
In this paper we introduce a ten-parameter family of L\'{e}vy processes for which we obtain Wiener-Hopf factors and distribution of the supremum process in semi-explicit form. This family allows an arbitrary behavior of small jumps and includes processes

Matrix Wiener-Hopf-Hilbert factorisation [PDF]
A method is described for effecting the explicit Wiener-Hopf factorisation of a class of (2 x 2)-matrices. The class is determined such that the factorisation problem can be reduced to a matrix Hilbert problem which involves an upper or lower triangular ...

An Iterative Wiener--Hopf method for triangular matrix functions with exponential factors [PDF]
This paper introduces a new method for constructing approximate solutions to a class of Wiener{Hopf equations. This is particularly useful since exact solutions of this class of Wiener{Hopf equations, at the moment, cannot be obtained.

Clutter rank estimation for the multistage Wiener filter
The authors propose an algorithm that determines the rank of the sea clutter and relates it to the number of stages in the multistage Wiener filter. The algorithm presented is formulated as a model order estimation problem that utilises the minimum description length (MDL).

Fredholm factorization of Wiener-Hopf scalar and matrix kernels [PDF]
A general theory to factorize the Wiener-Hopf (W-H) kernel using Fredholm Integral Equations (FIE) of the second kind is presented. This technique, hereafter called Fredholm factorization, factorizes the W-H kernel using simple numerical quadrature.

This paper investigates Mittag–Leffler synchronization (MLSY) for variable‐order fractional Gierer–Meinhardt reaction‐diffusion systems (VFO‐GM‐RDs). We introduce, for the first time, a distributed control scheme specifically designed to achieve MLSY in these complex systems. A key contribution is the derivation of an explicit analytical expression for

A trifurcated waveguide problem [PDF]
We consider the diffraction of the dominant wave mode which propagates out of the mouth of a semi-infinite waveguide made of a soft and hard half plane.
