New Convergence Definitions for Sequences of Sets
Several notions of convergence for subsets of metric space appear in the literature. In this paper, we define Wijsman I‐convergence and Wijsman I*‐convergence for sequences of sets and establish some basic theorems. Furthermore, we introduce the concepts of Wijsman I‐Cauchy sequence and Wijsman I*‐Cauchy sequence and then study their certain properties.

Approach uniformities were introduced in Lowen and Windels (1998) as the canonical generalization of both metric spaces and uniform spaces. This text presents in this new context of “quantitative” uniform spaces, a reflective completion theory which generalizes the well‐known completions of metric and uniform spaces. This completion behaves nicely with

On isometric embeddings and continuous maps onto the irrationals [PDF]
Let $$f\,{:}\,E \rightarrow F$$f:E→F be a continuous map of a complete separable metric space E onto the irrationals. We shall show that if a complete separable metric space M contains isometric copies of every closed relatively discrete set in E, then M

Weak convergence of obliquely reflected diffusions [PDF]
Burdzy and Chen (1998) proved results on weak convergence of multidimensional normally reflected Brownian motions. We generalize their work by considering obliquely reflected diffusion processes.

A Unif: A common supercategory of pMET and Unif
In order to have a topological category that contains both pMET and Unif in a nice way (and therefore combines quantitative and uniform concepts), approach uniformities are introduced. Approach uniformities uniformize the so‐called approach spaces, introduced in Lowen [8]. Different characterizations of approach uniformities are formulated.

Selections of set‐valued stochastic processes
We show that ℱt‐adapted, set‐valued stochastic processes satisfying mild continuity conditions admit, ℱt‐adapted, stochastically continuous selections.

On Fuzzy Length Spaces and Fuzzy Geodesics [PDF]
In this paper, the notion of a fuzzy length space is introduced, and the definition of a fuzzy geodesic in a fuzzy metric space is given.

Assembly, trafficking and function of gamma-secretase [PDF]
gamma-Secretase catalyzes the final cleavage of the beta-amyloid precursor protein to generate amyloid-beta peptide, the principal component of amyloid plaques in the brains of patients suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
