Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Changthangi Pashmina Goat Genome: Sequencing, Assembly, and Annotation

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2021
Pashmina goats produce the world's finest and the most costly animal fiber (Pashmina) with an average fineness of 11–13 microns and have more evolved mechanisms than any known goat breed around the globe. Despite the repute of Pashmina goat for producing

PARK(ing) time–How park deficiency affects the biological clock in a Drosophila model of Parkinson's disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Drosophila park mutants serve as a model for Parkinson's disease. We used this strain to investigate the connection between oxidative stress and the circadian clock mechanism. We showed that increased oxidative stress affects the physiology of pacemaker cells, disrupting their daily structural plasticity. Lack of rhythmic signaling from pacemaker cells

Rug the preserver of wild goat figure since the ancient times [PDF]

open access: yesنگره, 2012
The importance of animal figure is dramatic in Iranian art since ancient time. Animal figures were sometimes used as symbols of agriculture and nutrition and also as symbols of gods, kingdoms and elements of universe.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

HELMINTH FAUNA IN FARM AND WILD RUMINANTS ON THE PASTURES OF CHECHEN REPUBLIC

open access: yesРоссийский паразитологический журнал, 2016
Helminth fauna of farm and wild ruminants grazed on common pastures, in mountain areas of distribution of wild animal (tur, roe deer, Persian wild goat, gemsa) and in south regions (roe deer) was studied.

The report of Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis in a wild goat (Capra aegagrus) in Iran

open access: yesJournal of Zoonotic Diseases
Wild and domestic ruminants become infected with Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP) leads to chronic enteritis, known as Johne’s disease (JD).

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.
