The Royal Commission Into the Monetary and Banking Systems in Australia, 1935–1937

ABSTRACT Australian governments of the 1930s were less inclined to establish royal commissions than their predecessors in the 1920s, and few of the 1930s inquiries were of great moment. The exception was the royal commission appointed by the Lyons Government to inquire into the monetary and banking systems in Australia in 1935.

Longer Asthma Duration Is Associated With Elevated Non‐T2 Sputum Biomarkers and Reduced T2 Inflammation in Severe Asthma

Longer asthma duration is associated with increased airway non‐T2 inflammation and reduced airway and systemic T2 inflammation. Sputum CXCL9 is independently associated with duration and may predict a reduced poor response to anti‐IL‐4Rα therapy. Shotgun Metagenomics Reveals Skin Microbiome Composition and Function in Infant Atopic Disease

Deep shotgun metagenomics profiled > 1000 infant skin swabs in the VITALITY cohort. Distinct skin microbiome signatures separated AD alone from AD with allergic co‐occurrence. Early Staphylococcus enrichment preceded later AD with allergic co‐occurrence. FLG mutations and strain‐level analyses revealed host and microbial features linked to AD.

Delayed Loop Ileostomy Reversal Increases the Risk of Colitis and Clostridium difficile Infection

Delayed loop ileostomy reversal is associated with increased post‐operative complications specifically colitis and Clostridium difficile colitis. The COVID‐19 pandemic caused a significant delay in ileostomy reversal timing.
