WTAP‐mediated m6A RNA methylation promotes diabetic foot ulcer healing under negative pressure wound therapy

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.
NPWT significantly increases the suppressed WTAP and m6A levels in DFU patients, correlating directly with better 4‐week healing outcomes. In vitro, negative pressure reverses high‐glucose‐induced WTAP downregulation, restoring the cell proliferation and migration necessary for wound repair.

M1 macrophage‐derived exosomes aggravate diabetic nephropathy by regulating the WTAP/S1PR2 axis

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a severe microvascular complication of diabetes mellitus. The specific role of M1 macrophage‐derived exosomes in DN progression remains largely unexplored. Methods THP‐1 monocytes were differentiated into M0 macrophages and polarized into M1 macrophages for exosome extraction.

Nephrogenic Rests/Nephroblastomatosis in Patients With Unilateral Wilms Tumor Are Not Associated With an Increased Risk of Relapse: An Analysis of Patients Treated on the SIOP‐WT‐2001 Protocol in the SIOP‐UK‐CCLG and SIOP‐GPOH Studies (2001–2022)

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, Volume 73, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Nephrogenic rests (NRs) and nephroblastomatosis (NBM) are precursor lesions for development of Wilms tumor (WT). Their association with the risk of relapse has not been properly assessed, partly due to misunderstanding of their diagnostic criteria and terminology.
