Center Vortices, Nexuses, and the Georgi-Glashow Model [PDF]
In a gauge theory with no Higgs fields the mechanism for confinement is by center vortices, but in theories with adjoint Higgs fields and generic symmetry breaking, such as the Georgi-Glashow model, Polyakov showed that in d=3 confinement arises via a ...

Hamiltonian Approach to QCD in Coulomb Gauge: A Survey of Recent Results
We report on recent results obtained within the Hamiltonian approach to QCD in Coulomb gauge. Furthermore this approach is compared to recent lattice data, which were obtained by an alternative gauge‐fixing method and which show an improved agreement with the continuum results. By relating the Gribov confinement scenario to the center vortex picture of

Integrated correlators with a Wilson line in N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 SYM
In the context of integrated correlators in N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 SYM, we study the 2-point functions of local operators with a superconformal line defect. Starting from the mass-deformed N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2* theory in presence of a 1 2 $$ \frac{1}{

Some views on monopoles and confinement [PDF]
Aspects of the monopole condensation picture of confinement are discussed. First, the nature of the monopole singularities in the abelian projection approach is analysed.

1-form symmetry versus large N QCD
We show that large N QCD does not have an emergent ℤ N 1-form symmetry. Our results suggest that a symmetry-based understanding of (approximate) confinement in QCD would require some further generalization of the notion of generalized global symmetries.

Dreibein as Prepotential for Three‐Dimensional Yang‐Mills Theory
We advocate and develop the use of the dreibein (and the metric) as prepotential for three‐dimensional SO(3) Yang‐Mills theory. Since the dreibein transforms homogeneously under gauge transformation, the metric is gauge invariant. For a generic gauge potential, there is a unique dreibein on fixing the boundary condition.

Loop operators in three-dimensional N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 fishnet theories
In this work, we study the line and loop operators in three-dimensional N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 fishnet theories in detail. We construct the straight line and circular loop operators which are at least classically half-BPS.

N=4 Supersymmetry on a Space-Time Lattice [PDF]
Maximally supersymmetric Yang--Mills theory in four dimensions can be formulated on a space-time lattice while exactly preserving a single supersymmetry.
