Wind-induced vibration response analysis of Chinese solar greenhouses

Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, 2021
Abstract Chinese solar greenhouses (CSG) are widely used in agricultural and horticultural industries in China. With the characteristics of lightweight, small stiffness and high flexibility, CSG are sensitive to wind loads. In this study, based on Davenport wind spectrum, the fluctuating wind speed time histories were simulated by harmony ...

Study on Wind-Induced Vibration Response of Aerial Working Arm

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
Since boom-type aerial equipment has complex dynamic characteristic under the action of random wind loads, traditional methods are hard to reflect its dynamic response. We put forward an analysis method for wind-induced random vibration response of aerial working arms based on finite element and pseudo-excitation methods.

Analysis of Wind-Induced Vibration Response for a Long-Span Double-Arch-Support Steel Structure

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
As a new long-span double-arch-support steel structure system is applied to a stadium, it is necessary to study the wind-induced vibration response of the roof structure to meet the need of design. The modal analysis and the response analyses which include static wind response and wind-induced vibration response are calculated by ANSYS.

Transient Evaluation of Wind‐Induced Vibration Response of Heliostat Under Downburst

Energy Technology, 2023
As the region with the highest amount of solar radiation, Qinghai–Tibet Plateau has the highest frequency of thunderstorms in China. Downburst generated in thunderstorm can cause high‐intensive wind near the ground, which is a critical threat to heliostats.

Wind-Induced Vibration Response Analysis of a High-Rise Structure

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2011
Autoregressive (AR) method can provide a simulation of random process with relatively short computational time and acceptable accuracy while Newmark-β Method is a quick way to accomplish the response analysis. Therefore in this paper, the combination of these two methods will solve the problem of wind-induced response analysis quickly and precisely ...

The evaluation of wind‐induced vibration responses to a tapered tall building

The Structural Design of Tall and Special Buildings, 2007
AbstractThe mitigation of wind‐induced excitations of tall buildings was investigated. The shape of a building can be aerodynamically modified by changing the taper of the cross‐section. This modification alters the flow pattern around the building, and reduces wind‐induced vibration of tall buildings.

Study on Vertical Wind-Induced Vibration Response for Portal Frame Structures

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2011
In recent years, as the portal frame’s height toward higher and the span toward wider, the influence of wind vibration becomes more and more prominent among the portal frame structure. In the design of the portal frame, there are many different opinions on whether considering the impact of the vertical wind vibration to the portal frame.
