ABSTRACT Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions have emerged as one of the most critical drivers of climate change; this is primarily due to high concentrations and long atmospheric life of carbon dioxide (CO2). For a significant amount of time, various biological processes such as microalgal cultivation, cyanobacterial systems, photosynthetic microorganisms ...

Acoustic control of wind farms
Great attention is currently paid to protecting res-idential areas from the noise pollution due to wind turbines.A family of acoustic constraints was developed to assess it.Maximizing electricity production under these constraints isdifficult as they rapidly evolve with weather conditions andbackground noise.

Abstract With the development of dental microwear texture analysis (DMTA), there has been an increasing application of DMTA for dietary estimation in extant and fossil reptiles, including dinosaurs. While numerous feeding experiments exist for herbivorous mammals, knowledge remains limited for carnivorous reptiles. This study aimed to qualitatively and

Data-Driven Approach for Wind Farm Control: Toward an Alternative to FLORIS
In this paper, we introduce a data-driven approach to wind farm control, offering an alternative to the FLORIS wind farm simulator. Our method estimates the power of a wind farm and determines the optimal yaw angle to maximize power generation. Initially,

Abstract Softshell turtles (Pan‐Trionychidae) are an early branching clade of hidden‐necked turtles (Cryptodira) with a rich fossil record extending back to the Early Cretaceous. The evolutionary history of softshell turtles is still unresolved because of their conservative morphology combined with high levels of polymorphism related to morphological ...

Abstract The middle Permian represents a critical interval in therapsid evolution, when gorgonopsians emerged as some of the first specialized apex predators within terrestrial ecosystems. Despite their significance, the early diversification of Gorgonopsia in Gondwana remains poorly understood due to scarcity and fragmentary material.

(1) Kbhb modification of FBP1 and PCK1 is involved in regulation of the gluconeogenesis pathway. (2) Kbhb of FBP1 and PCK1 is catalyzed by p300 and removed by HDACs. (3) BHB induced an increase in the enzymatic activity of FBP1 and PCK1 through Kbhb modification at the K43 site of FBP1 and the K191 site of PCK1.

Optimal network congestion management using wind farms [PDF]
With the increased use of wind energy for the power generation several TSO have increasing difficulties for congestion forecasting due to the unpredictable nature of the energy source.

Numerical simulation of wind farm control [PDF]
This dissertation develops digital wind turbine models and uses computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools to simulate and explore various wind farm control strategies. This work introduces approaches to improve the quality of numerical models and validates them with wind tunnel experimental measurements.
