Optimized Active Power Dispatching Strategy Considering Fatigue Load of Wind Turbines During De-Loading Operation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
With the increase of wind power penetration rate in the power grid, power dispatching including wind curtailment often happens to guarantee the safety of the power system.

Discussion of Design Wind Loads on a Vaulted Free Roof

open access: yesWind, 2022
This paper discusses the wind loads for designing vaulted free roofs based on a wind tunnel experiment, in which the wind force coefficients for the main wind force resisting system and the peak wind force coefficients for cladding are considered.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Examination of Wind Impacts on RCC Frame Structures in Different Wind Zones [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
Reinforced refers to a structurally sound assemblage of carefully joined slabs, beams, columns, and foundation components. Through the use of this complex network, loads are systematically transferred from slabs to beams, then to columns, converge at the

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Response analysis of large container ship bridge wing structures under dynamic wind loads

open access: yesZhongguo Jianchuan Yanjiu
Objectives The aim of this paper is to study the influence of wind load on the safety of the bridge wing structure of a large container ship. MethodsThe variation patterns of dynamic wind load at different vertical positions are investigated and a method

What day-ahead reserves are needed in electric grids with high levels of wind power?

open access: yesEnvironmental Research Letters, 2013
Day-ahead load and wind power forecasts provide useful information for operational decision making, but they are imperfect and forecast errors must be offset with operational reserves and balancing of (real time) energy.
