TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Improved Frequency Regulation Control Strategy of Wind Power Considering Random Fluctuation Characteristics of Source-Load

open access: yes发电技术
ObjectivesLarge-scale wind power integration leads to a decrease in grid inertia, and the fluctuating power of wind turbines combined with random fluctuation of load under turbulent wind speed aggravates the frequency fluctuation in the power grid ...

Microtab dynamic modelling for wind turbine blade load rejection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A dynamic model characterising the effect of microtab deployment on the aerodynamics of its base aerofoil is presented. The developed model predicts the transient aerodynamic coefficients consistent with the experimental and computational data reported ...

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Identification of Wind Load Exerted on the Jacket Wind Turbines from Optimally Placed Strain Gauges Using C-Optimal Design and Mathematical Model Reduction

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
Wind turbine towers experience complex dynamic loads during actual operation, and these loads are difficult to accurately predict in advance, which may lead to inaccurate structural fatigue and strength assessment during the structural design phase ...

Numerical wind load estimation of offshore floating structures through sustainable maritime atmospheric boundary layer

open access: yesInternational Journal of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, 2020
Wind load is one of the major design loads for the hull and mooring of offshore floating structures, especially due to much larger windage area above water than under water.

Dynamic load management and optimum sizing of stand-alone hybrid PV/Wind system. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Simulation algorithms for the sizing of stand-alone hybrid PV/Wind systems are a powerful tool in evaluating the optimum configuration that would cover the energy demand with a predefined reliability level at the lowest cost.

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...
