Identification of a Shiga toxin A‐derived peptide internalized into Gb3 receptor‐bearing cells via interaction with the Shiga toxin B subunit

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The process of internalization of the Shiga toxin A subunit via formation of a complex with the Shiga toxin B subunit, which specifically binds to the Gb3 receptor. The peptide is designed to act as a carrier of drugs into cancer cells. Here, we explored the potential of peptides derived from the catalytic A subunit of Shiga toxin (STxA) to be drug ...

Strategia di ottimizzazione vibroacustica per un gearbox di turbina eolica. Vibroacoustic optimisation strategy for a wind turbine gearbox [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This thesis is the result of a collaboration with ZF Wind Power, to investigate the approach to derive a simplified geometry of a state-of-the-art gearbox of a wind turbine, and to optimise this for noise and vibration. The reproduction of the simplified

METHOD OF PROCESSING THE WIND TURBINE TIME HISTORY LOADS BASED ON 6 DEGREES OF FREEDOM

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2021
A method of simply wind turbine time history loads have been studied in the article,it can be converted the time history loads into some number of load duration distribution. It is based on the standard of ISO6336 by considering 6 degrees of freedom. The

Wind Load Factors for Use in the Wind Tunnel Procedure

open access: yesASCE-ASME Journal of Risk and Uncertainty in Engineering Systems, Part A: Civil Engineering, 2017
A 2004 Skidmore Owings and Merrill report (in Simiu E. (2011) Design of Buildings for Wind, Appendix 5, Wiley, Hoboken, NJ) notes that the ASCE 7 Standard (American Society of Civil Engineers (2002) ASCE 7-02, Reston, Va) is incomplete insofar as it provides no guidance on wind load factors appropriate for use with the Standard's wind tunnel procedure.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Experimental Investigation of Local Wind Effects on Façade Scaffolding Structures

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Wind is one of the main environmental loads acting on temporary scaffolding structures, yet current design codes apply simplified assumptions regarding its distribution.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Atmospheric turbulence and its influence on the alternating loads on wind turbines

open access: yes, 2011
Analysis of measurements on atmospheric turbulence with respect to the statistics of velocity increments reveals that the statistics are not Gaussian but highly intermittent.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated
