Forecasting Short-Term Wind Speed Based on IEWT-LSSVM Model Optimized by Bird Swarm Algorithm
Accurate wind speed prediction can improve the utilization efficiency of wind energy effectively. However, the original time series signals of wind speed present nonlinear or non-stationary characteristics, which make wind speed forecasting very ...

One day ahead prediction of wind speed class [PDF]
This paper deals with the problem of clustering daily wind speed time series based on two features referred to as Wr and H, representing a measure of the relative daily average wind speed and the Hurst exponent, respectively. Daily values of the pairs (Wr, H) are first classified by means of the fuzzy c-means unsupervised clustering algorithm and then ...

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

Algorithm for sea surface wind retrieval from TerraSAR-X and TanDEM-X data
A Geophysical Model Function (GMF), denoted XMOD2, is developed to retrieve sea surface wind field from Xband TerraSAR-X/TanDEM-X (TS-X/TD-X) data. In contrast to the previously developed XMOD1, XMOD2 consists of a nonlinear GMF, and thus, it depicts ...

Predictive control of wind turbines by considering wind speed forecasting techniques
A wind turbine system is operated such that the points of wind rotor curve and electrical generator curve coincide. In order to obtain maximum power output of a wind turbine generator system, it is necessary to drive the wind turbine at an optimal rotor ...

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Tabu Search algorithm based general regression neural network for long term wind speed predictions
Accurate prediction of wind speed is needed as the wind power directly depends upon the wind speed. Because of the complex non-stationary and nonlinear characteristics of wind speed, it is difficult to achieve good prediction accuracy.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...
