The Effect of Window Presence and Size on Human Recovery: An EEG Microstate Study

open access: yesBuildings
Although windows are known to modulate occupant well-being, the specific capacity of window dimensions to alleviate stress requires deeper empirical validation. To address this, we evaluated 36 young, healthy subjects (aged 20–27) within a virtual office

IMPROVING THERMAL EFFICIENCY OF SUBSIDIZED HOUSES THROUGH WINDOW-TO-WALL RATIO DESIGN

open access: yesBuilt Environment Studies
Subsidized housing in Indonesia is often built with limited consideration for thermal comfort, prompting many residents to rely on air conditioning, which increases energy consumption. One of the factors that influences indoor thermal conditions is the Window-to-Wall Ratio (WWR), which determines how much sunlight and airflow can enter the space.

Bio‐Inspired Biopolymeric Implantable Platform for Localized and Sustained Drug Delivery in Solid Tumor Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A bio‐inspired biopolymeric implantable drug delivery platform enables localized and sustained release of 7‐ethyl‐10‐hydroxycamptothecin (SN‐38) in solid tumor treatment. The three‐dimensional (3D) structured crosslinked‐chitosan implants are fabricated via 3D‐printed molds and provide drug release over 3 months, significantly inhibiting tumor growth ...

Simultaneous Enhancement of Performance and Stability in Dual‐Gate a‐IGZO Thin‐Film Transistors via Single‐Step Laser Annealing for Capacitor‐Less DRAM

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A single‐step laser annealing strategy is presented for dual‐gate a‐IGZO TFTs. The steep thermal gradient induces graded oxygen doping in the channel and simultaneous WOx removal at the contacts, enabling concurrent interface and contact engineering.

Functionalizing Micro‐to‐Mesoscopic Electrode Architectures for Regulating Electron Transfer Behaviors in Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A systematic review is conducted to assess the influence of electrode architecture across micro‐ to mesoscopic length scales on electron‐transfer pathways in electrocatalysis. We discuss the structure‐activity relationships in electrocatalytic applications, including resource recovery and environmental remediation, and provide cost‐effective, efficient
