Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Adaptive rank transform for stereo matching [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Window selection is the main challenge for local stereo matching methods based on the rank transform and it involves two aspects: the rank window selection and the match window selection.

Optimal Window and Lattice in Gabor Transform Application to Audio Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
International audienceThis article deals with the use of optimal lattice and optimal window in Discrete Gabor Transform computation. In the case of a generalized Gaussian window, extending earlier contributions, we introduce an additional local window ...

Heterogeneous Window Transformer for Image Denoising

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems
Deep networks can usually depend on extracting more structural information to improve denoising results. However, they may ignore correlation between pixels from an image to pursue better denoising performance. Window transformer can use long- and short-distance modeling to interact pixels to address mentioned problem.

Inversion formula for the windowed Fourier transform [PDF]

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, 2012
AbstractIn this paper, we study the inversion formula for recovering a function from its windowed Fourier transform. We give a rigorous proof for an inversion formula which is known in engineering. We show that the integral involved in the formula is convergent almost everywhere on \documentclass{article}\usepackage{amssymb}\begin{document}\pagestyle ...

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Research on Spectral Restoration and Gas Concentration Inversion Accuracy Based on Quasi-Trapezoidal Window

open access: yesPhotonics, 2022
The Fourier transform is a popular method for analyzing and processing interference data in which spectrum leakage occurs. Generally, window function (also called apodization function) weighting is employed to limit spectrum leakage. A rectangular window

Translating whole‐genome doubling into precision medicine in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Whole‐genome doubling creates a WGD‐positive tumor state characterized by persistent chromosomal instability, karyotypic diversification, and cellular stress. These same biological pressures drive aggressive tumor evolution while exposing therapeutic vulnerabilities, providing a rationale for WGD‐informed precision medicine. Whole‐genome doubling (WGD)

Single‐cell DNA methylation profiling: Technologies, computation, and applications in precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell DNA methylation (scDNAme) profiling maps epimutational clonal evolution, revealing mechanisms of malignancy and therapeutic resistance across diverse cancer types. By providing a high‐resolution landscape of intratumoral heterogeneity, these technologies empower precise patient stratification, guide the development of enhanced ...

Window of Opportunity: Why fast track funds must be released now [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The Fast Track compact has created a window for radical change in some of the poorest countries in the world -- change that would bring millions of children into schools and permanently transform the structure of human capital in these countries. To keep
