A new optimal window with a nonnegative Fourier transform [PDF]
This paper introduces an optimal window with a nonnegative frequency response. 111e design, proposed by Dr. John W. Adams of California State University Northridge, provides the optimal compromise between peak sidelobe amplitude and total sidelobe area ...

Parameter tuning for the NFFT based fast Ewald summation
The computation of the Coulomb potentials and forces in charged particle systems under 3d-periodic boundary conditionsis possible in an efficient way by utilizing the Ewald summation formulas and applying the fast Fourier transform (FFT).

This study explores the feasibility of expressing the antitumoral protein Amblyomin‐X through a suicide gene therapy approach and investigates its intracellular fate after gene delivery. Although the gene is efficiently expressed, melanoma cells rapidly degrade the Amblyomin‐X protein via proteasome activity.

Chemotherapy side effects significantly impact cancer survivors' quality of life. Using protein levels in blood samples from breast cancer patients before and after 12 weeks of taxane treatment, we detected treatment‐dependent changes in calcium signaling and aging pathways associated with cancer recurrence.

On using Directional Information for Parameter Space Decomposition in Ellipse Detection [PDF]
In this paper we use the parametric polar representation to extend the application of edge directional information from circle to ellipse extraction. As a result we obtain a mapping which decomposes the parameter space required for ellipse extraction ...

Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) in mice increased liver fatty acid oxidation and decreased fatty acid biosynthesis. These alterations persisted when TRF was discontinued and the host was infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pre‐exposure to TRF did not alter tissue (lung and spleen) mycobacterial burden but significantly reduced CD3+ T cells in lungs

Computation of the Short-Time Linear Canonical Transform with Dual Window [PDF]
The short-time linear canonical transform (STLCT), which maps the time domain signal into the joint time and frequency domain, has recently attracted some attention in the area of signal processing.
