Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Is it all about the windows? Residents' values in residential heritage buildings

open access: yesActa Polytechnica CTU Proceedings, 2022
Reducing energy and associated carbon emissions from the built environment is fundamental to meeting our climate goals. Retrofit of existing buildings is therefore a key strategy.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Solving the problems of daylighting and tradition continuity in a reconstructed vernacular building

open access: yesJournal of Civil Engineering and Management, 2013
Seeking for saving traditional forms, sizes, proportions and other features of vernacular architecture and satisfying norms for a contemporary building sometimes is not an easy task.

Identification of Layers in Oil-Tanks Using a Reflectometer [PDF]

open access: yesModeling, Identification and Control, 1988
This paper treats the possibilities of analysing layers in oil-tanks using a reflectometer. First some basic principles and expressions are presented. After that examples of commonly used windows are shown and a new generation of windows developed. These

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Linux programs on Windows and the operation stability analysis of transplantation(Linux程序在Windows上的移植及运行稳定性分析)

open access: yesZhejiang Daxue xuebao. Lixue ban, 2012

Suppression of two-bounce windows in kink-antikink collisions

open access: yes, 2016
We consider a class of topological defects in $(1,1)$-dimensions with a deformed $\phi^4$ kink structure whose stability analysis leads to a Schr\"odinger-like equation with a zero-mode and at least one vibrational (shape) mode.

Phase-change VO2-based thermochromic smart windows

open access: yesLight: Science & Applications
Thermochromic coatings hold promise in reducing building energy consumption by dynamically regulating the heat gain of windows, which are often regarded as less energy-efficient components, across different seasons. Vanadium dioxide (VO2) stands out as a

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
