Observational evidence of the relationship between the tropical tropopause and tropical easterly jet streams over the Indian monsoon region

open access: yesAtmospheric Science Letters
This paper presents the first quantitative relationship between the cold point tropopause (CPT) and tropical easterly jet (TEJ) using radiosonde observations over Gadanki (13.45° N, 79.2° E) during the Indian summer monsoon season 2006–2014.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

The Dissipation Regime of Turbulence on Mars Observed With Microphone Data From the Mars 2020 Perseverance Rover

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
Turbulent winds are a regular occurrence in planetary boundary layers. Turbulence affects mixing, energy fluxes and forcing on the surface environment.

Rose of the winds: The order of winds

open access: yes, 2022
In this proposal and inside the narrative framework of medieval fantasy history, the player will take the role of commander of the order of wind, which have to face the antagonist faction of the game called the dark tornado brotherhood. To fulfil this objective, the player will have to build and improve a military base to battle with the general of the

Spatial and single‐nuclei transcriptomics reveals idiosyncratic and generic patterns in papillary and anaplastic thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

0.25 Deg Horizontal Winds and Derived Dynamic Quantities From NOAA‐20 and Suomi‐NPP Satellite Water Vapor Soundings

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
We produced global 0.25° three‐dimensional distribution of horizontal wind vectors (or 3D winds) by tracking water vapor from the hyperspectral infrared sounders and microwave sounders aboard two polar satellites (NOAA‐20 and Suomi‐NPP) that have ...

Circulating microRNA signatures of cachexia and cancer in Canis familiaris as a comparative oncology model for human disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of cachexia and sex‐specific cancer in senior dogs. In 25 client‐owned dogs, four circulating miRNAs (miR‐15a, miR‐15b, miR‐16, miR‐140) were downregulated in cachexia, with miR‐16 the strongest individual biomarker (AUC = 0.899).
