TECHNIQUE AND SOFTWARE FOR PROJECT PROPOSALS EXPERT ASSESSMENT OF AVIATION AND ROCKETRY PRODUCTS

open access: yesНаучный вестник МГТУ ГА, 2018
The essence of an expert assessment as a scientific method is a rational organization of experts analyzing the problem from a quantitative evaluation of judgments and results processing. A generalized opinion of the expert group is taken as the solution.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

VORTICAL MODEL OF THE WING COVERED WITH CONTINUOUSLY DISTRIBUTED CIRCULATION OF THE VORTICAL LAYER

open access: yesНаучный вестник МГТУ ГА, 2016
The linear vortical model ot the final scope of a wing is exsamined. It representis the flat rectangular spatial veil covered with continuously distributed vortical layer.

Analysis of calculation results of lift and drag forces for several wings using nonlinear section data

open access: yesAviation, 2005
Calculation results for 11 different finite span wings are presented. Calculations were made by a combination of a numerical solution of lifting line theory with a technique developed to evaluate nonlinear section lift data.

Flexible Flaps Inspired by Avian Feathers Can Enhance Aerodynamic Robustness in low Reynolds Number Airfoils

open access: yesFrontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, 2021
Unlike rigid rotors of drones, bird wings are composed of flexible feathers that can passively deform while achieving remarkable aerodynamic robustness in response to wind gusts.

Basic research in wake vortex alleviation using a variable twist wing [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
The variable twist wing concept was used to investigate the relative effects of lift and turbulence distribution on the rolled up vortex wake. Several methods of reducing the vortex strength behind an aircraft were identified.

Chronological and Spatial Distribution of Skeletal Muscle Fat Replacement in FHL1‐Related Myopathies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Variants in the FHL1 gene cause FHL1‐related myopathies (FHL1‐RMs), a group of neuromuscular disorders with diverse clinical presentations. This study aimed to comprehensively characterize the spatial and temporal patterns of skeletal muscle fat replacement throughout the whole body in FHL1‐RMs, to examine disease progression over ...

Vortex-lift roll-control device [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
A wing is described for aircraft of cropped, arrow-type planform with thin leading and side edges. The wing has a pivotable tip to alter the crop angle of the wing during flight.

A 73‐Year‐Old Man With Several Years of Difficulty Climbing Stairs and Frequent Tripping

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A 73‐year‐old man presented with progressive weakness and atrophy predominantly affecting the distal finger flexors and quadriceps muscles. Electrophysiological studies demonstrated mixed myogenic and neurogenic features. Muscle MRI showed inflammatory changes, and muscle biopsy revealed granulomatous myositis with histologic features ...

Comparison of Steinmann Pin and Polymethyl Methacrylate Pin in Experimental Fractures of Humerus in Pigeon Models [PDF]

open access: yesThe Iranian Journal of Veterinary Science and Technology
Avian orthopedic issues, particularly fractures, pose significant challenges due to birds' unique skeletal anatomy. Their bones, including the humerus (upper wing bone), are often pneumatic (air-filled) and fragile, making fracture management complex ...
