Turning Electrode Orientation into a Design Parameter: Gravity‐Driven Convection for Coupling Electrochemical and Enzymatic Reactions

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 11, 3 June 2026.
Electrochemically induced density gradients are harnessed to drive gravity‐dependent convection at partially fouled electrodes. By controlling electrode orientation and surface heterogeneity, mass transport is enhanced without external stirring. This enables coupling of electrochemical reactions with enzyme catalysis on insulating domains, exemplified ...

PFAS properties and destruction methods: A focus on enzymatic degradation

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Technology &Biotechnology, Volume 101, Issue 6, Page 1126-1152, June 2026.
Abstract Per‐ and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are known as ‘forever’ chemicals and have lasting detrimental impact on the environment and living organisms. To understand PFAS molecules better, this review begins with an overview of PFAS definition, classifications and applications, and then provides a comprehensive summary and critical analysis ...

Gait style during weave pole performance affects limb dynamics in agility dogs

open access: yesVeterinary Record Open, Volume 13, Issue 1, June 2026.
Abstract Background Canine agility is a physically demanding sport that carries an inherent risk of injury. The weave pole obstacle is a mandatory component in agility courses under UK Kennel Club regulations, requiring a complex forward and lateral side‐to‐side gait that is not typically replicated outside the sport.

A Common Reference Material for Mass‐Dependent Sn Isotope Compositions: An Inter‐Laboratory Calibration Approach

open access: yesGeostandards and Geoanalytical Research, Volume 50, Issue 2, Page 341-367, June 2026.
Key Points We recommend using the notation δ122/118SnNIST SRM 3161a for mass‐dependent Sn isotope data. We derived conversion factors relative to NIST SRM 3161a for Puri Sn CEZA (0.132 ± 0.011‰), Sn Lyon (0.229 ± 0.016‰), Sn IPGP (0.162 ± 0.018‰). Tin isotope compositions are presented for SPEX CertiPrep Sn and nine USGS reference materials.
