Power variations of wireless communication systems

Bioelectromagnetics, 2010
AbstractThe use of wireless digital communication devices like GSM, WCDMA, HSPA, DECT, and WiFi changes the exposure of electromagnetic waves toward the user. Concentrating on the power variations on a slow and fast time scale, these new systems are discussed. Experimental results for both uplink and downlink are included for a sample of systems.

A DBOASTBC-OFDM system for wireless communications

2008 15th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems, 2008
This paper proposes a new systematic design framework called DBOASTBC-OFDM for wideband wireless communications in a MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) system, which is developed from combining the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) with the diagonal block orthogonal algebraic space-time block code (DBOASTBC) and belongs a kind of ...

Analytical model for wireless communication systems

IEEE Communications Letters, 2010
In this paper, a user capacity model, combining both the modulation and coding scheme (MCS) distribution model and resource allocation model, is developed to analyze the system performance of wireless communication systems. From the model, we can intuitively calculate the system capacity from MCS distribution. An example based on relay networks is used
