Wireless Sensor Network using Wireless Fidelity for Environmental Monitoring System

2019 International Seminar on Application for Technology of Information and Communication (iSemantic), 2019
Increasingly fast technology in embedded systems, sensors, and smart devices, accompanied by lower prices for these devices, makes the need to connect them in all sectors even higher. Many systems are offered and explored in the field of environmental automation monitoring and control, but it seems that not a few fail to provide pain-free and cost ...

Emulating Wireless Networks with High Fidelity RF Interference Modeling

MILCOM 2018 - 2018 IEEE Military Communications Conference (MILCOM), 2018
Wireless tactical data links such as Link-16 can experience a wide variety of interference from both allied communications and hostile jammers. This paper proposes a method to implement high-fidelity RF interference modeling in an emulated network using the open source CORE and EMANE software.

Adaptive power-fidelity in energy-aware wireless embedded systems

Proceedings 22nd IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium (RTSS 2001) (Cat. No.01PR1420), 2005
Energy aware system operation, and not just low power hardware, is an important requirement for wireless embedded systems. These systems, such as wireless multimedia terminals or wireless sensor nodes, combine (soft) real-time constraints on computation and communication with requirements of long battery lifetime.

High fidelity simulation of wireless communication networks

2003 User Group Conference. Proceedings, 2004
An emerging problem in mission planning is consideration of the communication requirements of the mission participants. Determining the appropriate resources to satisfy the communication needs of a battle group requires detailed simulation that incorporates terrain effects, mobility, realistic network traffic models, device characteristic, etc ...

Experiences with a high-fidelity wireless building energy auditing network

Proceedings of the 7th ACM Conference on Embedded Networked Sensor Systems, 2009
We describe the design, deployment, and experience with a wireless sensor network for high-fidelity monitoring of electrical usage in buildings. A network of 38 mote-class AC meters, 6 light sensors, and 1 vibration sensor is used to determine and audit the energy envelope of an active laboratory.

Energy-aware wireless systems with adaptive power-fidelity tradeoffs

IEEE Transactions on Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) Systems, 2005
Wireless networked embedded systems, such as multimedia terminals, sensor nodes, etc., present a rich domain for making energy/performance/quality tradeoffs based on application needs, network conditions, etc. Energy awareness in these systems is the ability to perform tradeoffs between available battery energy and application quality requirements.

Clinical evaluation of a high-fidelity wireless intravaginal pressure sensor

International Urogynecology Journal, 2014
A wireless intravaginal pressure sensor (IVPS) has been developed to quantify abdominal pressure (P(abd)) changes during exercise and activities of daily living to guide post-operative advice given to women. In this pilot study, we aimed to compare IVPS performance, comfort, retention, and acceptability to a standard fluid-filled intrarectal pressure ...

High-fidelity environmental monitoring using wireless sensor networks

Proceedings of the 11th ACM Conference on Embedded Networked Sensor Systems, 2013
The system is environment monitoring service based on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). Users can know temperature, humidity, light, and CO2 level in real time. Excessive electricity consumption by lighting in the office can be saved and the quality of the office environment can become better by controlling lighting and CO2 level.

Light-Fidelity: Next Generation Wireless Networks- A Survey

2019 International Conference on Smart Systems and Inventive Technology (ICSSIT), 2019
This is the age of speed and everybody requires high speed connectivity to connect with others for sharing useful and necessary information. Presently the most commonly used network is Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11n) whose maximum speed is around 150mbps. Though this much speed is capable for transmitting lots of information but yet there are hundreds of ...

A comparison of Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) fingerprinting techniques

ICTC 2011, 2011
Among several techniques proposed for indoor positioning using IEEE 802.11 Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) based networks, those that rely on fingerprinting have been demonstrated to outperform those based on lateration, angulation, and cell of origin in terms of accuracy.
