Power Optimization With BLER Constraint for Wireless Fronthauls in C-RAN
Cloud radio access network (C-RAN) is a novel architecture for future mobile networks to sustain the exponential traffic growth thanks to the exploitation of centralized processing. In C-RAN, one data processing center or baseband unit (BBU) communicates with users via distributed remote radio heads (RRHs), which are connected to the BBU via high ...

First Real‐Time Softwarization of Complete Coherent DSP Stack with Gardner Timing and Clock Recovery
ABSTRACT This work demonstrates the first fully softwarized coherent receiver digital signal processing stack implemented on a general‐purpose graphic processing unit (GPU) platform. By introducing a data‐parallel GPU implementation for Gardner‐based timing and clock recovery (TCR), the system achieves complete real‐time receiver operation without ...

Genetic Algorithm Assisted Hybrid Beamforming for Wireless Fronthaul
This paper proposes a genetic algorithm assisted hybrid signal to leakage plus noise ratio (SLNR) beamforming design for wireless fronthaul scenario. The digital precoder of the proposed hybrid SLNR beamforming is expressed in closed-form. Highly limited phase resolution (one-bit resolution) is assumed at the phase shifters at the analog precoder.
