Pharmacokinetic Interaction of Green Rooibos Extract With Atorvastatin and Metformin in Rats
An aspalathin-rich green rooibos extract (Afriplex GRT™) has demonstrated anti-diabetic and hypolipidemic properties, while also moderately inhibiting CYP3A4 activity, suggesting a potential for herb–drug interaction.

Interactions of Interaural Time and Level Differences in Spatial Hearing with Cochlear Implants
Differences in timing (ΔT) are weighted heavily compared to differences in loudness (ΔL) in binaural hearing with cochlear implants. Abstract Normally hearing humans can localize sound sources quite accurately, with minimum audible angles as small as 1°. To achieve this, these auditory pathways combine information from multiple acoustic cues, including

Prenatal dexamethasone exposure (PDE) persistently upregulates hepatic CYP3A1/CYP2B1 in offspring via glucocorticoid receptor (GR) activation. In vivo and in vitro studies show GR promotes P300/CBP binding to the constitutive androstane receptor (CAR) promoter, sustaining histone acetylation (H3K9/K27ac) and enhancing CYP expression. The GR–CAR pathway

This study demonstrates multifactorial lifestyle impacts on the pathogenesis and progression of cardiovascular diseases by a nanofluorescence sensor array for detecting four redox species and protein phosphorylation levels. Through cross‐scale fluorescence imaging of rats with different diets, we revealed that compared with single dietary interventions,

The Protective Effect of Naringin against Bleomycin-Induced Pulmonary Fibrosis in Wistar Rats
The aim of the current study was to investigate the protective effect of naringin on bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis in rats. Twenty-four Wistar rats randomly divided into four groups (control, bleomycin alone, bleomycin + naringin 40, and bleomycin

TRIM40 Drives Pathological Cardiac Hypertrophy and Heart Failure via Ubiquitination of PKN2
This study identifies the E3 ligase TRIM40 as a key driver of pathological cardiac hypertrophy. TRIM40 binds PKN2 via its B‐box domain and, through its C29‐dependent catalytic activity, mediates K63‐linked ubiquitination of PKN2. This modification enhances PKN2 phosphorylation at Ser815, thereby driving hypertrophy.

Species specific behavioural patterns (digging and swimming) and reaction to novel objects in wild type, Wistar, Sprague-Dawley and Brown Norway rats. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: The purpose of the present study was to analyse species-specific forms of behaviour (digging and swimming) and response to novelty in laboratory rats and their wild type counterparts at a very early stage of laboratorization.
