Withdrawal Capacity of Double-Threaded Nuts Mounted in 3D-Printed Wood-Plastic Composites
This paper investigated the withdrawal capacity of the double-threaded nuts mounted in 3Dprinted materials. The basic technical properties and the withdrawal force of the double-threaded nuts for the specimens made of PLA, WPLA, and layered WPLA+PLA ...

Objective JAK inhibitors (JAKi) have shown promising effects in early‐phase studies of systemic sclerosis (SSc). We aimed to assess the safety and explore the effectiveness of JAKi compared to conventional immunosuppressants in SSc. Methods A longitudinal retrospective study of the European Scleroderma Trials and Research Group (EUSTAR) cohort was ...

Estimating the water balance of a small reservoir in the Brazilian semiarid [PDF]
Small communities in semi-arid regions usually suffer from a lack of data to enable effective water management. This is the case for many rural communities in Brazil that rely on small reservoirs.

Near‐Field Electrospinning Micro‐Printhead Achieves Precise Control of Nanofiber Deposition
A micro‐printhead for near‐field electrospinning enables reproducible deposition of polymer nanofibers with diameters below 50 nm. Systematic parameter studies uncover the mechanisms linking operating conditions to fiber morphology, paving the way for precise and low‐cost nanoscale 3D manufacturing. As a high‐resolution, cost‐effective, and rapid ...

Prediction of screw withdrawal resistance for plywood laminated panels and sandwich panels
Sandwich panels are favorable materials for structural or non-structural components due to durability, lightness, and longevity in service life. This study aimed to predict screw withdrawal resistance of the plywood laminated medium-density fiberboard ...

Medical education and law: withholding/withdrawing treatment from adults without capacity
AbstractBackgroundLaw is increasingly involved in clinical practice, particularly at the end of life, but undergraduate and postgraduate education in this area remains unsystematic. We hypothesised that attitudes to and knowledge of the law governing withholding/withdrawing life‐sustaining treatment from adults without capacity (the WWLST law) would ...

A combined finite element and phase‐field approach predicts the evolution of microstructure during the directional solidification of Ni‐based superalloys. The model reveals how withdrawal rate, temperature gradient, and wall thickness control the dendrite spacing, highlighting the strong effect of surface regions in thin sections where dendrite growth ...

Creep Properties and Deformation Mechanism of Additively Manufactured NiAl‐CrMo Composites
Additively manufactured NiAl‐CrMo composites contain numerous interfaces and cell boundaries that control their creep response. At 700°C under high applied stress, creep is dominated by dislocation‐controlled power‐law mechanisms. At 800°C–900°C and lower stresses, creep is primarily diffusion‐controlled along cell boundaries.
