Relative Strength Variability Measures for Brain Structural Connectomes and Their Relationship With Cognitive Functioning

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 46, Issue 11, 01 August 2025.
We propose a new class of graph measures for weighted connectivity information in the human brain based on node relative strengths: relative strength variability, a first weighted statistical complexity measure for networks. The graph measure significantly improved prediction of general cognition from traditional weighted structural connectomes ...

Short association fibres of the insula-temporoparietal junction in early psychosis: a diffusion tensor imaging study. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Evidence shows that there are reductions in gray matter volume (GMV) and changes in long association white matter fibres within the left insula-temporoparietal junction (TPJ) during the early stages of psychotic disorders but less is known about short ...

From NES-4021 to moSMB3.wmv: Speedrunning the Serial Interface

open access: yesEludamos: Journal for Computer Game Culture, 2014
Although play is irreducible, games repeat. Beyond the serial repetition that characterizes industrial forms of mechanical reproduction like newspapers, comics, novels, and films, in the case of videogames the microtemporal speed of serial interfaces and massive scale of serial distribution operate both below and above the horizon of conscious ...

Untying the Knot: Associations Between Personality Functioning and Psychological Distress in an Outpatient Sample of Youth

open access: yesPersonality and Mental Health, Volume 19, Issue 3, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Impairments in personality functioning often emerge during developmental processes in youth, a period in which the experience of psychological distress peaks. Both impairment in personality functioning and psychological distress are related to general psychopathology and insight in their developmental trajectories may contribute to early ...

Unraveling Audiovisual Perception Across Space and Time: A Neuroinspired Computational Architecture

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neuroscience, Volume 62, Issue 3, August 2025.
Fitted on auditory localization and reaction time task data, our neurocomputational model aims to elucidate the mechanisms underlying multisensory perception in the entire spatiotemporal domain, predicting how spatial and temporal factors interact to modulate sensory perception.

Multilocus Sequence Typing of “Candidatus Phytoplasma Solani” and Detection of RNA Viruses Infecting Cucurbits in the Marmara Region, Türkiye

open access: yesPlant Pathology, Volume 74, Issue 6, Page 1905-1914, August 2025.
This study provides the first multilocus genetic characterisation of “Candidatus Phytoplasma solani” strains infecting cucurbits. ABSTRACT The stolbur disease associated with “Candidatus Phytoplasma solani” (CaPsol) is very common in Europe and the Mediterranean regions and adversely affects perennial or annual plants but is rarely reported on ...

Development and Effectiveness Verification of the Contextual Hazard Perception Test for Skiing

open access: yesApplied Cognitive Psychology, Volume 39, Issue 4, July/August 2025.
ABSTRACT A Contextual Hazard Perception Test for Skiing (CHPT‐S) was developed to assess the hazard recognition ability of recreational skiers during skiing. A total of 92 video clips, filmed across 11 ski resorts, were presented to 100 young adult skiers with varying skill levels. This process led to the selection of 30 scenarios.
