Physics‐Informed Machine Learning for Sustainable Alloy Design: Toward a Recyclable Unified Q&P Steel

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A physics‐informed property‐bridging framework links high‐throughput hardness screening to tensile performance in quenching and partitioning steels. By transferring metallurgically guided representations across properties, a single alloy composition is designed to achieve multiple strength grades through heat‐treatment tuning alone, offering a ...

Interpretable Machine Learning Framework for Nb─Si Based Alloy Design with Enhanced Fracture Toughness

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An interpretable machine learning framework integrating SHAP and PDP analysis identifies critical design descriptors from 139 physicochemical features for Nb─Si alloys. The framework achieves <7% prediction error and guides the discovery of Nb38.5Ti38.5Si3Zr18V2 alloy with 22.791 MPa·m1/2 fracture toughness, breaking the 20 MPa·m1/2 barrier.

Mechanical Performance of L-Shaped Corner Joints Manufactured by 3D Printing with a Polylactic Acid–Wood Composite

open access: yesBioResources
Filaments were produced with eight different blends for use in Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) printers by adding 10% and 15% linden and oak wood flours as support materials to a polylactic acid (PLA) matrix. Wood polymer L-shaped connectors were printed

The Effect of Steaming and Heat-Compression on the Properties of Jabon Wood for Furniture Materials

open access: yes, 2014
The inferior properties of juvenile jabon wood (Anthocephalus cadamba Miq.) limit its utility. Densification through heat-compression presently conducted is possibly useful to improve its properties.

Phase‐Resolved Dual Control of Phenol Photodissociation at the Air–Water Interface From Structure‐Resolved Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Faster phenol photolysis at the air–water interface arises from two cooperative factors: a more favorable initial microenvironment for solvent‐side electron stabilization, which lowers CI access, and a more labile hydrogen‐bond network, which more readily reorganizes to stabilize the dark‐state intermediate.

A Bright Ratiometric Dipyrene Probe for Functional Imaging of Condensate Microenvironments in Living Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ratiometric dipyrene imaging resolves monomer (M) and excimer (E) channels and computes pixel‐wise E/M maps within biomolecular condensates, yielding physicochemical fingerprints shaped by coupled polarity‐related solvation and microviscosity. These spatial fingerprints enable quantitative phenotyping of cellular states, exemplified by separation of ...

Modified MXene Aerogel With Broadband Microwave Absorption Inspired by Melanophila Acuminata Beetle

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work introduces a novel biomimetic strategy inspired by the infrared‐sensing sensilla of the Melanophila acuminata beetle. We have designed a multi‐level aerogel, featuring a three‐dimensional carbon framework decorated with synergistic CeO2 nanoparticles and Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets.
