Advanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.Electroactive liquid crystal elastomers (eLCEs) integrate molecular anisotropy with electrical functionality to enable programmable actuation and reconfigurable electronics. This review classifies eLCEs into robotic actuators and adaptive electronics, summarizes key actuation mechanisms, and highlights fabrication strategies that bridge materials to ...Kavita Ramesh Rathod, Sena Chon, Jae Hyuk Hwang, Sung Hyuk Park, Woohwa Lee, Joonmyung Choi, Shi Hyeong Kim, Seung Hwan Ko, Changsoon Choi, Seon Jeong Kim, Dong‐Gyun Kim, Habeom Lee, Kyung Gook Cho, Woon‐Hong Yeo, Hyun Kim +14 morewiley +1 more sourceGPR124 Alleviates Blood–Brain Barrier Disruption by Enhancing Microvascular Endothelial Function after Traumatic Brain Injury
Advanced Science, EarlyView. Our study reveals the protective role of GPR124 in maintaining BBB integrity and promoting neurological recovery following TBI. It makes a significant contribution by uncovering a novel molecular interaction between GPR124 and FGFBP1 and linking this to activation of the Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway in vascular repair mechanisms.Chen Wang, Lin Cai, Qiuyuan Gong, Yang Yang, Yuqing Liang, Xinyu Niu, Lai Wei, Ze Liu, Shengju Wu, Yinghui Men, Yaohui Tang, Jun Ding, Hengli Tian, Hao Chen +13 morewiley +1 more sourceThe global distribution and drivers of wood density and their impact on forest carbon stocks. Advanced Science, EarlyView. We demonstrated that high humidity worsened psoriasis relapse in murine psoriasiform skin inflammation by increasing skin‐resident memory CD8+ cells via upregulating IL‐15Rα on keratinocytes. The increases in IL‐15Rα and memory CD8+ cells were attributed to S. nepalensis and its metabolite ADMA in skin exposed to high humidity.Chun‐Ling Liang, Yuchao Chen, Chuanjian Lu, Huazhen Liu, Fenglian Qin, Sisi Dai, Feifei Qiu, Haiming Chen, Weihui Lu, Jonathan S. Advanced Science, EarlyView.Micronutrients are vital for human health. Wheat is a major staple crop and a significant source of minerals and B‐vitamins. The impact of climate change on their content remains largely unknown. We evaluated micronutrient levels in European winter wheat grown under historical and projected climate conditions. Advanced Science, EarlyView.Multipolar mitosis, a hallmark of chromosomal instability (CIN), drives tumor heterogeneity but is challenging to study in live cells. Using CIN‐seq, a single‐cell multiomics method, we profiled rare CIN events and identified mechanisms associated with viable multipolar mitosis, including PTEN attenuation, Rho GTPase‐driven cytokinesis failure, and ...Pin‐Rui Su, Ting‐Chun Chou, Maria Teresa López‐Cascales, Junfeng Huang, Tsai‐Ying Chen, Sjoukje van Wieren, Chan Li, Cecile Beerens, Li You, Jelle Storteboom, Miao‐Ping Chien +10 morewiley +1 more sourceAdipocyte‐Derived Leptolin Enhances Energy Expenditure and Prevents Obesity
Advanced Science, EarlyView. We identified a novel adipokine, which we named leptolin. In humans, leptolin levels in white adipose tissue were positively correlated with exercise and negatively associated with body mass index. We observed elevated leptolin in serum from athletes and lower leptolin in serum from obese individuals.Jiarui Liu, Bingwei Wang, Zhijie Su, Xiaoxv Han, Miao He, Yun Zhao, Yujia Hou, Daotong Li, Weiguang Zhang, Lihua Qin, Ke Wang, Yanchun Li, Yi Yan, Siwang Yu, Xiaoshuai Huang, Tairan Yuwen, Jianyuan Luo, Ruimao Zheng +17 morewiley +1 more source
