Multiple barriers maintain species boundaries in sympatric brood‐site deceptive Gastrodia orchids
Societal Impact Statement Gastrodia orchids are inconspicuous forest plants that lack chlorophyll and obtain carbon from fungi. Their dull‐colored, ground‐level flowers are often hidden among leaf litter, yet they rely on small flies for pollination.

Control efficacy of three types of non‐insecticidal consumer products were examined in laboratory, simulated‐use, and field conditions. Freeze spray and ‘repellent lamp’ showed limited efficacy, whereas various results in attraction in light trap were reported.

The predatory effect of the honey‐buzzard affects the reproductive performance of Asian‐hornet colonies, decreasing the density of workers over distance and time. The foraging distances of the honey‐buzzard concentrates within the first 2000 m from nest, which supports the results observed.
