Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Mechanical modelling of wood microstructure, an engineering approach
The macroscopic elastic behaviour of wood derives from the mechanical performance of the cells which form its microstructure. Numerical finite element models are presented which relate the elastic properties of the wood continuum to local cell ...

Dynamic vapour sorption of wood and holocellulose modified with thermosetting resins
Micro-veneers of wood and holocellulose (HC) were modified with the thermosetting resins phenol formaldehyde and melamine formaldehyde. The dynamic water vapour sorption of the modified and untreated veneers was studied in a dynamic vapour sorption ...

DNA strands are employed both as dynamic linkers and nanoscale templates for the integration of Ag2S nanoparticles on MoS2, which in turn imparted photothermal responsiveness; this feature permits the selective cargo (fluorophore, quantum dots or an enzyme) release from the MoS2 surface in response to local heat induced by light irradiation.

Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.
