A study of Ni‐Co/CeO2 catalyst derived from metal–organic framework for dry reforming of methane

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Abstract The efficacy of cobalt‐doped, MOF‐derived catalysts for dry reforming of methane (DRM) was examined. The focus was on the influence of varying nickel and cobalt molar ratios on catalytic performance. Three catalysts with Ni:Co ratios of 1:1, 1:0.5, and 0.5:1, were synthesized and tested with cerium oxide as a constant support. The DRM reaction

Comparative Performance Analysis of Various Flat Plate Solar Collectors Incorporating Spiral and Square Arrangement of Circular Type Riser Tube

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Three flat‐plate collectors with spiral and square coiled riser tubes were tested and it was found that the spiral type provides the best results with a thermal efficiency of 66.98% for a mass flow rate of 0.4 kg/min. Riser tube geometry is a key factor in optimizing flat‐plate collector output.

BLOOD PARAMETERS, NONSPECIFIC RESISTANCE, AND PRODUCTIVITY OF FINE-WOOL SHEEP OF DIFFERENT GENOTYPES

open access: yesВавиловский журнал генетики и селекции, 2014
Long-term studies carried out in the south-east of Saratov Oblast prove that the introductive crossing of the Stavropol wool breed to rams of the wool–meat double purpose increases the offspring live weight, wool yield, and meat productivity, as well as ...

A hedonic model of lamb carcass attributes

open access: yes
Lamb carcass value is widely reported to be a function of lean meat yield, which is the relationship between muscle, fat and bone. Five retailers and five wholesalers assessed 47 lamb carcasses from diverse genotypes and scored seven attributes.

Comparison of Wool Producing Ability of the Corriedale with that of the F1 cross sheep [PDF]

open access: yes, 1962
This study has been carried out to compare the wool producing ability of the Corriedale hoggets with that of the Corriedale F1 cross hoggets that were produced by crossing the Corriedale on the other breeds of sheep to create a new type of sheep for ...

Experimental Investigation on Steam Generation Performance of a Solid Thermal Storage‐Based Steam Production System

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
1. Against the backdrop of the dual carbon goals and the transformation of the energy structure, traditional coal and natural gas boilers struggle to meet the demand for economical and stable steam supply in small and medium‐sized enterprises. In response, this study proposes a solid‐state thermal storage steam production system, aiming to provide a ...

Thermal, chemical and morphological properties of carbon fibres derived from chemically pre-treated wool fibres

open access: yes, 2015
In this work, the feasibility of using wool fibre as a carbon fibre precursor was explored as well as whether chemical treatments to wool fibre can increase the carbon fibre yield and properties of the produced carbon fibres.

Topical treatment of equine aural plaques with nitric acid and zinc solution

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Equine aural plaque caused by equine papilloma viruses is common worldwide and affected horses can show severe clinical signs. Due to its viral aetiology, in some countries affected horses are not allowed to compete. Since lesions persist, showing no spontaneous regression, effective and safe treatment is required.
