Integrative Approaches for DNA Sequence‐Controlled Functional Materials
DNA is emerging as a programmable building block for functional materials with applications in biomimicry, biochemical, and mechanical information processing. The integration of simulations, experiments, and machine learning is explored as a means to bridge DNA sequences with macroscopic material properties, highlighting current advances and providing ...

Enriching very large ontologies using the WWW
This paper explores the possibility to exploit text on the world wide web in order to enrich the concepts in existing ontologies. First, a method to retrieve documents from the WWW related to a concept is described. These document collections are used 1)

Switching between chewing-gum and no-gum at learning and retrieval does not accentuate error production in free recall [PDF]
Three experiments compared chewing gum to a no gum condition to examine further the finding (Anderson, Berry, Morse & Diotte, 2005) that switching flavour between learning and recall encourages error production independently of free recall.

Operando Temperature Sensing at the Actual Electrocatalytic Interface by Nanodiamond Quantum Sensors
By integrating a wide‐field microscope with a custom‐designed electrolyzer, nanoscale temperature changes can be recorded in situ during the electrolysis process without interfering with ongoing electrochemical reactions. This method establishes a correlation between the interface temperature and specific electrochemical reactions, making the measured ...

Practical activities to enhance L2 identity [PDF]
How strong is your students' sense of L2 identity? Can enhancing L2 identity motivate learners to engage more profoundly and enduringly with English? The purpose of this practical guide is to demonstrate how we can increase L2 learner motivation by ...

Conductance‐Dependent Photoresponse in a Dynamic SrTiO3 Memristor for Biorealistic Computing
A nanoscale SrTiO3 memristor is shown to exhibit dynamic synaptic behavior through the interaction of local electrical and global optical signals. Its photoresponse depends quantitatively on the conductance state, which evolves and decays over tunable timescales, enabling ultralow‐power, biorealistic learning mechanisms for advanced in‐memory and ...

In this report, we demonstrate that a crystalline phase of 52nm thick NiFe2O4 can be grown by RF sputtering on top of γ‐Al2O3(8nm)/SrTiO3 at a significantly low temperature (150 °C) without compromising the mobility and carrier density of the 2D electron gas at the γ‐Al2O3(8nm)/SrTiO3 interface.
