Experiment and numerical modeling suspended ceiling with identification of working diagram material

open access: yesFracture and Structural Integrity, 2016
The aim of this topic is to describe creating of working diagrams of structural materials. These will be used as input parameters for nonlinear analysis of real structures.

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

Automatically Drawing Euler Diagrams with Circles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Euler diagrams are used for visualizing categorized data. These categories, together with information about when categories share some datum, can be turned into a succinct diagram description from which an Euler diagram can be generated.

Nutrient/TOR signaling controls adipose mitochondrial transcription factor A (TFAM) to regulate organismal growth in Drosophila

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Animals must match their growth rate to available nutrients. We show that in Drosophila larvae, the nutrient‐sensing TOR kinase controls growth by regulating levels of TFAM, a key regulator of mitochondrial function, in the adipose tissue. When nutrients are abundant, high TOR activity suppresses TFAM, lowering mitochondrial bioenergetic activity and ...

The Works Metallurgist: an evaluation of a CAL package on phase diagrams

open access: yesResearch in Learning Technology, 1996
A number of factors have converged today to force the development of more efficient and costeffective educational strategies. These include rapidly changing technology, the increasing number of students in higher education, and resource restrictions imposed on all sectors of education. Educational systems are therefore finding it increasingly difficult

Visualizations with Venn and Euler Diagrams [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Venn and Euler diagrams intuitively visualize relationships and relative cardinalities of data sets. They are used extensively in areas as biosciences, business and criminology to facilitate data reasoning and analysis. However, current automatic drawing

On the Completeness of Spider Diagrams Augmented with Constants [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Diagrammatic reasoning can be described formally by a number of diagrammatic logics; spider diagrams are one of these, and are used for expressing logical statements about set membership and containment. Here, existing work on spider diagrams is extended

Peripheral lysosomes recruit PLEKHG3 to focal adhesions and restrain protrusion dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proximity‐dependent labeling at the LAMTOR complex revealed the Rho GEF PLEKHG3 as a lysosome‐proximal protein directing the study toward the influence of lysosome positioning on actin dynamics and cell motility. We show that PLEKHG3 colocalizes with lysosomes at focal adhesion sites and observe that forced peripheral dispersion of lysosomes hinders ...

Drawing Area-Proportional Euler Diagrams Representing Up To Three Sets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Area-proportional Euler diagrams representing three sets are commonly used to visualize the results of medical experiments, business data, and information from other applications where statistical results are best shown using interlinking curves ...

Research on the Adjustment and Optimization of Train Working Diagrams Including Tourist-Dedicated Trains

open access: yesIEEE Access
Because China’s high-speed railway diverts many passengers from the existing railway, the existing railway network capacity has greatly increased, which provides convenient conditions to begin tourist-dedicated train projects.
