Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Fluid Organizing of Work in the Ubiquitous Information Environment [PDF]
The strong trend of miniaturization and personalization of computing devices that continues in our everyday lives has become inseparably linked to the various services and functions these technological artifacts offer. Mobile workers can do their jobs, not just informal office space, but in locations as varied as hotels and train stations.

PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines
Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Working Fluid Design for Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) Systems
The Organic Rankine Cycle is an energy conversion cycle similar to the conventional Rankine cycle which runs on a working fluid other than water. The selection of a working fluid is a critical part of designing an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) system.

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.
