The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Hair cortisol concentration of dairy cattle is unrelated to automation level of dairy farms—however, it can reflect Welfare Quality® measures

open access: yesFrontiers in Animal Science
The introduction of precision dairy farming has led to increasing automation of core tasks in dairy farming. However, the impact of these technologies on animal welfare remains the subject of ongoing debate.

Study of soil tillage process from parameters and working depth of the working bod [PDF]

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences
The article presents the results of experimental studies of the positive influence of the optimal combination of ripping elements with a stand on the quality of soil tillage and traction resistance of the working body. In the experiment, model samples of

The two-stage process in visual working memory consolidation

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2020
Two hypotheses have been proposed to explain the formation manner for visual working memory (VWM) representations during the consolidation process: an all-or-none process hypothesis and a coarse-to-fine process hypothesis.

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

The Impact of Process Safety on Productivity and the Bottom Line [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
PresentationHow does process safety impact productivity and the bottom-line? A total safety process. Kvaerner utilizes aspects of Process Safety Management to control the safety quality of its process design. PSM also drives many aspects of construction,

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...
