Leveraging system flows for complex change

Abstract The Australian Public Service addresses increasingly complex policy problems. There is interest in applying systems theory to such challenges to enable more effective strategies and outcomes. This paper uses examples to offer practical guidance on applying a specific aspect of system thinking: Meadows’ leverage points to shift the system.

WorldView-2 bathymetric capabilities

SPIE Proceedings, 2012
The capability of the WorldView-2 (WV02) satellite is analyzed for bathymetric applications in shallow coastal waters. We use an Optimal Estimation method, which provides lower bounds on retrievals errors for an idealized sensor and idealized model of the environment.
