Amaca uygun yaklaşımlarla sayısal uydu görüntüleri kullanımı, araştırılan alanhakkında çok doğru fikirler verebilir. Bunlara ilave olarak, birçok disiplin konumsal bilgi için ilgilisayısal verleri kullanmada farklı yöntemler kullanabilir.
