Current trends in single‐cell RNA sequencing applications in diabetes mellitus

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Single‐cell RNA sequencing is a powerful approach to decipher the cellular and molecular landscape at a single‐cell resolution. The rapid development of this technology has led to a wide range of applications, including the detection of cellular and molecular mechanisms and the identification and introduction of novel potential diagnostic and ...

Stress Prolongs Wound Healing Post Cesarean Section [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Introduction: Decision for cesarean section may lead to the stress for women in delivery. Stress response requires longer recovery time in post cesarean section patients. Most of patients who experience stress before and after surgical is associated with

Ro 31‐8220 suppresses bladder cancer progression via enhancing autophagy in vitro and in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The pan‐protein kinase C inhibitor Ro‐31‐8220 demonstrates potent anti‐bladder cancer effects both in vitro and in vivo by suppressing migration/invasion, inducing apoptosis and crucially activating autophagy, where blocking autophagy with chloroquine reduces its cell‐killing efficacy, suggesting its promise as a novel therapeutic candidate requiring ...

Chemokine Pathway Can Be the Potential Therapeutic Target for Hypertrophic Scar

open access: yesEuropean Medical Journal, 2019
Hypertrophic scar (HTS) is a dermal form of fibroproliferative disease that develops after deep burns, skin injuries, and surgical wounds. HTS is defined as a visible, elevated scar that does not spread into surrounding tissues and often regresses.

Polydatin ameliorates ovalbumin‐induced asthma in a rat model through NCOA4‐mediated ferroautophagy and ferroptosis pathway

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In this research, a rat model of asthma was created using OVA, and polydatin served as an intervention. By inhibiting ferroautophagy mediated by NCOA4 and averting ferroptosis, polydatin has been demonstrated to reduce asthma. This work presents new ideas for investigating the mechanism of polydatin's ability to alleviate asthma, in addition to ...

High LRIG1 expression predicts lymph node metastasis in patients with uterine cervical cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Lymph node status is crucial in determining treatment for women with early‐stage cervical cancer. We demonstrate that high LRIG1 protein expression in primary tumors can predict lymph node metastases. Our findings support further investigation of LRIG1 as a biomarker to improve staging accuracy and guide treatment decisions in cervical cancer patients.

Downregulation of sST2, a decoy receptor for interleukin‐33, enhances subcutaneous tumor growth in murine pancreatic cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Subcutaneous implantation of murine Panc02 pancreatic cancer cells depleted of sST2, a soluble decoy receptor for the proinflammatory interleukin‐33 (IL‐33), leads to a decreased number of GLUT4‐positive cancer‐associated adipocytes, reduced levels of the anti‐inflammatory molecule adiponectin, increased phosphorylation of IκBα, elevated Cxcl3 ...
