Postcode‐Level Variation and Environmental Determinants of Respiratory Allergies in a Large German Cohort

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
Young children (0–9 years) and residents of urban areas appeared particularly vulnerable to respiratory allergy development and exacerbation. Incidence showed nonlinear associations with PM10, PM2.5, temperature, and alder/birch pollen, while DPMR showed similar patterns, except for NO2 and the interaction O3*NO2.

New hybrid molecules based on sulfur-containing nicotinonitriles: synthesis, analgesic activity in acetic acid-induced writhing test, and molecular docking studies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
New hybrid molecules bearing furyl and 1,4-dihydronicotinonitrile (or 1,4,5,6-tetrahydronicotinonitrile) fragments have been prepared. The analgesic activity was studied in vivo (rats) in acetic acidinduced writhing test.

Timing the Sacred: A Multi‐Step Chronological Framework for the Llullaillaco Inca Burial

open access: yesArchaeometry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Absolute radiocarbon dating offers high precision, but its application to historical contexts, such as the Inca civilization, requires a rigorous methodological approach. This research examines methods to enhance chronological accuracy through a case study of artifacts from the Llullaillaco Capacocha sacrifice.

Framework for Rating and Assessing Media for Early childhood (FRAME): A multidimensional coding system for analysing children's media content

open access: yesBritish Journal of Developmental Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Young children spend an increasing amount of time engaging with screens, including television viewing. Although most research has focused on the quantity of children's viewing, growing evidence suggests that the developmental effects of screen media depend on the quality and characteristics of the content.

Anti-Inflammatory and Analgesic Effects of Schisandra chinensis Leaf Extracts and Monosodium Iodoacetate-Induced Osteoarthritis in Rats and Acetic Acid-Induced Writhing in Mice

open access: yes, 2022
In this study, we aimed to determine the anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive activities of Schisandra chinensis leaf extracts (SCLE) in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages, an acetic acid-induced mouse model of writhing, and a ...

Social voice judgement is dyadic: Acoustic typicality and interpersonal similarity interact

open access: yesBritish Journal of Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract The formation of social first impressions from voices is a central component of everyday social interactions. While past research has primarily investigated the effect of bottom‐up voice acoustic on social voice judgements, here we widen the perspective and investigate how bottom‐up acoustic and top‐down interpersonal similarity interactively ...

The Story(line) So Far: A Survey on Storyline Visualization

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract Storyline visualizations model narratives as temporal networks, using x‐monotone lines to represent entities and their interactions over time. This technique offers an intuitive way to reveal structural patterns over time, such as character co‐occurrence and narrative flow.
