Canadian Journal of Zoology, 1966Serial sections of onchocercomata revealed that in O. volvulus during spermatogenesis the spermatocyte divides twice to give rise to four spermatids. The spermatid develops into an elongate, narrow, smooth-walled spermatozoan, which, upon entering the female genital tract, becomes rounded and probably amoeboid.

(1) An examination has been made of the distribution of microfilariae of Wuchereria bancrofti in the organs of a man who died suddenly. Histological sections were made and the microfilariae present were counted under the microscope. 2. (2) The lungs contained more microfilariae than any other organ.
