The Kinetics of Nickel Sorption on Pyrophyllite as Monitored by X-Ray Absorption Fine Structure (XAFS) Spectroscopy [PDF]
This study investigated the effect of reaction time (minutes to months) on the surface coordination environment of Ni sorbed onto pyrophyllite using XAFS. The data suggest the appearance of multinuclear Ni complexes after a reaction time of minutes. As reaction time progresses, these multinuclear Ni complexes increased in size ((NNi-Ni = 1.4-4.5).

X-Ray Absorption Fine Structure (Xafs) Spectroscopy – A Review
X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) refers to the details of how X-rays are absorbed by an atom at energies near and above the core-level binding energies of that particular atom. The absorption of X-rays on the high energy side of absorption edges does not vary monotonically in condensed matter but has a complicated behavior which extends past the ...

Synchrotron X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy Study of Local Structure in Al-Doped BiFeO3 Powders
The Al-doped BiFeO3, i.e., BFA x O powder samples with x = 0, 0.025, 0.05, and 0.1, were prepared via the hydrothermal route. The effects of Al substitution on the structural, electrical, and optical properties of BFA x O samples were investigated. It is
